It was a Brite and Shiny day!

We weren't supposed to go out thrifting today based on hubby's work schedule.  Well, he rearranged his schedule (even though I protested) he wanted to do a quick run and hit our thrifts in town.  I'm glad too!  We found 4 boxes of Shiny Brites!  In one case, the cart was just brought out and I could see two boxes stacked on the bottom and asked if I could attack!  They ladies were so nice, they said "go for it" and I was so happy!  Two boxes of pink!  At another thrift, there were two carts that had not been unloaded, I went straight for them. I could see a bag of mixed ornaments at the bottom of one.  In the bag I saw a Shiny Brite 'top' and  I worked my way to the bottom of the cart and carefully extracted the bag.  To my delight there were 3 more Shiny Brites in there, two bells and a stenciled ball.  Hubby found a box of red and a box of gold Shiny Brites at yet again another thrift.  I also got a box of beautiful turquoise balls made in the US.  Great prices on everything, 89 cents a box of ornaments and the bag that contained the four was 50 cents!

Fortunately two of the Shiny Brite boxes weren't taped.  The other two had packing tape that the thrift store applied, but I was able to painstakingly remove it.

  1. I'm so happy for you! Now, what are you going to do with all of these ornaments? Make more wreaths? I can't wait to see! Your tree looks great. I hadn't bought a single thing in two whole weeks! But today I finally broke down. I'll post about what I found soon.
Oh...I'm sorry, but I can't see the pics you sent me. Are you able to attach them right to the email? Thanks Evie! :)
