Refrigerator Dishes - Hocking Glass

I finally got around to taking a picture of my Hocking refrigerator dish collection. I thrifted a dish some years ago and fell in love. My collection comes from thrifted, traded and purchased pieces. I added a few new items last year.

Vintage Fiberglass Bullet Planter - The Flordian in Chartreuse

Once in a while I get a special piece for a special occasion. I'm glad I needed an excuse when this one came along---this bullet planter is everything I wanted in a bullet planter. The color is awesome!

Pyrex in Action - Blue Delphite 501

I've always been partial to vintage Pyrex refrigerator dishes.  This is the blue delphite that was sold in Canada. I made home made sweet potato chips with freshly made guacamole today!

Pyrex in Pink - Rescued Shards

I started the new year off with some exchange work.  I especially love this ornament made from a shard of a Pyrex 045 Golden Rose dish sent to me. The ribbon is from a vintage spool I thrifted.  It's been about 4 weeks since I made anything and I was more than in the mood.

Last Find of 2016 - First Find of 2017

It's been cold and we got through our second winter storm so I haven't hit the thrifts in a while.  My last find in 2016 was a fiberglass shade.  Since I was at the pet store picking up food for my pup today, I ran into that same store and found a base..  I'm thrilled!  I have been looking for a tiered fiberglass shade for YEARS.  The neutral colors work great in my '50s front room. The tulip pattern is in black and gold. The base label indicates Forbes Brothers, PA.

1958 Vintage Entryway - Thrift Store Finds and More

My 1958 ranch home has a nice feature, half wall with shelf in the entryway. I added some vintage porcelain bowls, an enameled tray and statuette I purchased in the early days of ebay. The rest of the pieces are vintage thrift store finds from recent years. I'm loving my newly decorated pastel front room. It was sunny today and I had to take a picture.
