Pyrex, Pyrex, Pyrex!!!

Ah yes, it's been a Pyrex kind of day!  I had to address my hoard, and my attempts yesterday were not successful.  Truth is--I have too much!  I'm feeling like it is swallowing me up--making it hard to enjoy it.  Sooo...today I got serious.

First, I changed up the Pyrex on my peninsula, since I had to move it to clean, I decided to just change it.

My very first Primaries display!!!  Since I only just recently found the 401 and 402, this is the first time I get to enjoy seeing my bowls after almost 3 years of finding the 403 and 404!  Wow!   They are so pretty!!!!  I have two refrigerator sets, I thought I'd sell one, but now that I put up this display, I think I'll just hang on to it!!!! I need to find another old style 502 lid though.

I moved patterns around on my storage shelves, things were so cramped it was driving me crazy.  Here is a glimpse of how things look now.

I still have my pink collection on display in my kitchen cabinet.  I invaded hubby's side of the storage shelves, taking the top shelf.

A bit of a hodge podge--lime green pieces, extra fridgies and fridgies and 401s for patterns I don't collect.I have this self imposed rule that I collect fridgies and 401s in every pattern.

And then there is this new pile...

These are duplicates and/or patterns most of which I will give up. Also a couple Early American fridgies that aren't shiny that I bought for the lids. Think I might have to have a yard sale when the weather gets better.  It would be nice to recoup some of the money I invested as I've given quite a bit away to charity already. (More money for more Pyrex!)

I still have plenty to find for the patterns I'm keeping and there are all those promotionals to find!!! It feels a lot better now though there's not a whole lot room for growing.  I've learned that for me there IS such thing a as having too much Pyrex!

    2. Oh Sir-Thrifty, what a terrible shame, I feel so sorry for you (snicker). I know you have some (TOO MANY) absolutely drool worthy pieces that put my collection to shame! I'd probably just cry seeing yours!!!!! Don't find them and post them as I will likely have to submit myself to therapy!!

  2. Too much Pyrex? Just doesn't compute...

Seriously though, I suppose your collection has to be a manageable size to really enjoy it, right? Do you sell on ebay or etsy? You have such wonderful taste-I know I would be a frequent shopper if you did!

    1. Yeah, that's a tough one. I could bump hubby out of his side of the shelving and that would give me a whole other section to fill up. Don't get me thinking Maureen!!!

I've sold on ebay over the years and little on Etsy. It's a lot of work, for little money and everybody takes their cut. I feel as bad for other people paying the high shipping as I do for myself when I buy online. But if you need something from me, or want me to look for something for you, we can talk through Etsy (since you don't list an email on Blogger), I would make a listing just for you for sure. Just convo me on one of my current listings at: Schatzis

    1. Yep, guess we all come to that point Jill, it's been a few years and I do have to say I am surprised at how much I amassed. I had to have that heart to heart with myself and decide what I REALLY love and like you, I still have plenty!!!!!

    1. I never envisioned having all this Holly. I have to say it's just kinda hit me how much it really is!!! I think I was too preoccupied with the hunt to really absorb it!!!
